Called John after reading reviews on Angie's list (now Angi). He was scheduled out for some time but we kept in touch and he eventually came out to do our repair (non-emergency). The "soft spot" he started to repair actually turned out to affect both an upper and lower Fascia as well. The previous roofer who put a new roof on 2007 was S***Z (local company)who did such a poor job flashing the valley it leaked. (we've actually had a few repairs on this roof because they are incompetent).
John however, IS competent (fully licensed). Fixed the issue(s) and went above and beyond to make sure the remainder of the roof was in good condition. Patched some nail holes we had form having the roof dried in at one point and replaced a bad shingle he saw as well. You may wait for him but the wait is worth it!

If you’re reading this wondering whether to hire John, do it – you’ll be happy that you did. I have a barrel tile roof that started leaking after 14 years. I hired two different big-name roofers to fix the leaks and neither one stopped the leaks. Finally, I hired John and he found the problem immediately; my builder didn’t use galvanized screws for the furring strips, and as the screws rusted and broke the entire roof started shifting and leaking.
John took the time to disassemble my roof, fixed the underlying problem, and replaced some broken tiles; two years later I’ve had zero leaks. John is not only an extremely knowledgeable roofer, but he takes pride in his work, is reliable and hardworking, does what he says he’ll do, does an excellent job at a good price, and he’s simply honest and trustworthy. I’d recommend John in the strongest possible way to anyone that needs roof work. Period. I wish I could give him six stars.
